Run, Bike, Yoga, Barre, Gym. Whatever your fitness pleasure, January is the classic month where classes are filled, lines to wait on gym equipment aren't surprising, and people are pumped to start the new year attacking their fitness goals.
You can do it! And count me in! I am a bigger encourager of stretching, and going at your own pace. Just like a diet that starts out strong, but burnout is around the bend, without pacing ourselves for the long-haul, fitness goals can deteriorate as the year progresses.
So let's set achievable goals that can even become lifestyle changes. Get your heart rate up for at least 20 minutes. And be sure and allow yourself time to stretch those muscles at the end of your workout.
Your body will thank you, and you'll be one step closer to achieving your goals.
